thank you classtimeyuri.id also like to flap my gums ’bout this chapter for a bit ’cause it really speaks to me in a straight wayobvious praise out of the way, the arts on point as ever, the dialogues swaggin’, but my main praise with this chapter is its realistic leadup and realisticer climax. the leadup chapters (53, 54) have been really interesting and scarily realistic. it works to make both lin luxi and her mother sympathetic figures, where you can honestly take either persons side (though if you take her mothers youve got your work cut out for you lmao) and shows how parental pressure isnt just summoned, its passed down. before i totally just hated lin luxis mom, but now i see that shes trying her best (emphasis on her best) to give her daughter the life she thinks will be best for her
