Summary
Cheon Jae‑beom seems like a comfortably above-average student: his parents spend a month on private tutoring, he has a girlfriend, lots of friends, and grades that are “better than most,” so he confidently aims for a medical school spot in Seoul. When the college entrance exam (수능) goes badly, he ends up retaking the exam together with his girlfriend. Then, on the day before the second exam, his girlfriend suddenly breaks up with him. Crushed, Jae‑beom gives up on taking the test at all. The story follows what happens to his path afterward—how he deals with failure, lost love, and expectations, and what kind of future someone who fell off the “elite track” can still carve out for himself.
