Hinata witnesses her stepmother’s affair and is pushed down a staircase. At the moment she thinks she has died, she suddenly finds herself reincarnated into the world of her favorite novel, “The Path to the Tyrant.” Worse yet, she has taken possession of the body of a villainous noblewoman who is destined to be killed by her favorite character, Yurieru. “Ah, so this is the typical bad-ending avoidance setup,” Hinata thinks.
